Terms of Service

DebateDesk is a multi-model AI tool. When you submit a question, several large language models ("LLMs") generate independent answers, critique each other, and a moderator model produces a consensus response. The Service orchestrates and displays this process.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

The Service produces AI-generated content that may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not professional advice. In particular, DebateDesk does not provide financial, investment, trading, legal, tax, accounting, or medical advice. Nothing the Service outputs is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on AI output. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the Service.

If you add your own provider API keys ("BYOK"), you authorize us to use them solely to run your council sessions. Keys are encrypted at rest and are never displayed back to you or shared. You are responsible for your own provider accounts, their terms, and any charges they bill you. You may delete your keys at any time in your settings.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights (including IP and privacy);
• generate or distribute harmful, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative content;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or abuse the free tier (e.g. multi-account farming);
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service;
• violate the usage policies of the underlying model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

The Service offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

You retain ownership of the questions and inputs you submit and the outputs generated for you. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs through model providers and to store your sessions so you can revisit them. Do not submit content you are not authorized to share, or sensitive personal data you would not want processed by third-party AI providers.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the Service depends on third-party providers that may change or fail. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim (or USD 50 if you are on the free tier).

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
